The snow is gone and the rains are here. It’s spring and I haven’t updated the blog in a while. I can make a few excuses, though, in that I’ve been busy writing. Both my own work and starting with a coauthor (Dan Michaelson).
Readers have been asking what is coming for the year, so I figured now would be a good time to post an update.
My Executioner Song series will wrap up this year. These are pretty long books with more complexity than some I’ve written, so books 4 and 5 will take a bit more to get out to you. They’re done, but I want to make sure they’re as good as possible! I really love the way the character of Finn has evolved through the series, and I think you’ll enjoy the way it wraps up. If you haven’t taken a look at the series, start with The Executioner’s Right. Fantasy and mystery and magic. Plus the cover art Felix Ortiz created is amazing! I’m working on audio of this series, but it might be mid-year before anything is available.
The Chain Breaker series is coming along nicely. Book 4 just came out, and book 5, The Paper Dragon, is coming in June. The last book in the series will be out around fall. This series starts a new world that will overlap with several others; The Dark Sorcerer series is set in the same world and will be coming in a week and I’ll have a series featuring Imogen toward the end of the year. Want to start in the world? Start with The Risen Shard or Festival of Mourn. Either will give you a feel for where things are heading.
Then I’ll be returning with more dragons this summer with The Dragon Thief series. It’s undergoing a bit of reworking now, and I expect to have more news on the series in the next few months.
Other than that, lots happening in audio. The Elemental Academy series is almost completed in that format. The Chain Breaker books are coming out pretty close to the ebooks. The Dragon Misfits series is all done in audio too! As mentioned before, I think the Executioner Song series will fit nicely in audio, but it’ll take some time.
I hope you stay with me through the journey through the next year!
