2019 Plans

It’s the new year and a time for new beginnings! My first series of the year launched on January 2 – The Darkest Revenge. This is the first book of The Elder Stones Saga, and one of the longest books I’ve written. I’m really excited about the series (the first five books are written) and where it’s going. It’s set in the world of The Dark Ability, The Shadow Accords, and The Sighted Assassin, but readers don’t have to have read any of them to enjoy this new series. If you have, you’ll find some familiar faces.

Later this year there will be another series set in the world of The Cloud Warrior Saga. I hadn’t intended to return to the world quite yet, but the idea for the first book came to me and didn’t want to go away. The characters are great, and it’s a bit of a different adventure than the one Tan took, though epic in its own way. Look for more information about that in the next few months.

There will be more audio this year! Audible Studios is producing The Dragonwalker series, and the narrator they cast will be perfect to bring Fes’s story to life. I’ve had readers ask if his story is done, and while I think there could be more for Fes, I think I’ll let him live quietly for now. I will have more from the same world, and fans of the series will enjoy it.

Lastly, I’m going to try something different this year. I’ve been running a feature called Free Fiction Friday on this site with old short stories and novel excerpts, but starting this Friday, I’m going to begin releasing a brand new book I’ll be writing for this site. I have no idea how it’ll go, and if you want to make suggestions, I’ll be following any comments.
